We aim to transform the way homeowners view home security with our offerings – breaking down preconceptions of home security being bulky, wire-heavy, expensive and complicated, says Mohammad Meraj Hoda, Vice President – Emerging Markets, Ring

Which products and solutions will you be exhibiting this year at GITEX?

Ring will present our whole suite of smart home security devices at GITEX this year and show visitors how whole-home security can be customized to their individual needs, protecting what matters most. We will show them how simple it is to set up and operate our products using the innovative Ring app. With a single smart device (phone or tablet), users can manage and monitor all their Ring devices from one dashboard.

For the first time ever, Ring Alarm, the latest addition to the Ring family, will be on display at GITEX for visitors to experience. An easy-to-install home security system, Ring Alarm brings additional peace of mind with smart motion detection settings that can distinguish between pets and intruders. Visitors can learn how they can easily adjust their Alarm Modes using the Ring app.

We will highlight how Ring is constantly innovating its existing products and is committed to supporting customers with new, advanced features. The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro will also be on display – an outdoor camera hardwired for reliable protection with a bright LED beam, a security siren and 1080p video with HDR. We’ve added 3D Motion Detection to the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, allowing homeowners to choose which sections of their property to watch by setting distance thresholds. A radar sensor detects when an object reaches the distance threshold, and the camera only activates after that threshold is exceeded, sending homeowners a motion alert. Powered by the same 3D Motion Detection technology, we’ve also added the Bird’s Eye View feature, which provides an aerial map view of the motion events in front of the floodlight camera and creates a visual representation of the path travelled once a visitor crosses the selected threshold.

We will also spotlight the Video Doorbell 4, Spotlight Cam, Indoor Cam, and Stick Up Cam for both indoor and outdoor use, and demonstrate how all of our cameras are enabled by Wi-Fi with HD video, motion-activated alerts, two-way talk, and night vision.

What are you hoping to get out of the event?

Over the last two years, home environments have rapidly transformed into smart homes, and people want easy-to-install and flexible solutions to enhance the overall convenience of their lives. We aim to transform the way homeowners view home security with our offerings – breaking down preconceptions of home security being bulky, wire-heavy, expensive and complicated, and demonstrating how with Ring it is subtle, compact, affordable and simple. Moreover, the Ring app unifies all devices in one central location, further simplifying the experience.

Ring is committed to keeping homes and communities safe and connected, and we hope that visitors will leave with a new understanding of smart home security, and with the awareness that they can secure their property effectively and with ease.

What is the significance of GITEX for your Middle East presence?

GITEX is an important event for us as it provides the opportunity to showcase our products and services at the region’s largest and most anticipated tech exhibition, and one of the biggest IT exhibitions globally. It is a great platform to solidify regional awareness of our security solutions as we can meet customers face-to-face, and host interactive demos for visitors to experience how effective and easy to install our products are.

Where can attendees find you at the event?

You can find us at Zabeel Hall Z3-B10 where company executives and experts are looking forward to engaging with potential distributors and customers.
