Abudawood nurtures the geographical expansion with Infor and SNS

Abudawood Logistics, the Saudi Arabian distributor for Proctor & Gamble, Ferrero, Quaker Oats, and other major brands, has implemented the Infor WMS warehouse management system along with SNS. SNS, Infor’s Middle East partner, has major roles in the completion of the project. Infor WMS will assist maximise the usage of pick sites through expedited demand replenishment while streamlining picking procedures for the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) brand partner.

“With ambitious growth plans, Abudawood is focused on organic growth, customer acquisition and geographic expansion, a testament to which is its recent expansion into logistics services in Saudi and plans to cover the remaining five Abudawood markets,” comments Abdullah Talal Abu Sido, Abudawood’s head of supply chain technology.

He added, “Supporting delivery across all of our regions is a 24-hour warehouse operation running minimal downtime. Therefore, put away by unit of measure (UOM) is a crucial process to maximize location capacity and streamline output. Abudawood’s warehouse activities are massive, as a multibillion-dollar corporation with over 130 locations spread over six nations. Abudawood relies on efficient and dynamic replenishment of complete pallets into pick sites based on varying shelf-life windows to meet complex shelf-life requirements dependent on order type, account type, and brand.

Infor WMS was chosen because of its extensive ability to handle third-party logistics (3PL) activities, as well as demand replenishment capabilities that allow the dynamic assignment of pick locations and auto move technology that helps Ferrero products thaw. SNS was picked because of its extensive warehouse management skills and knowledge of Abudawood’s business peculiarities and issues.
