Acer has named Massimiliano Rossi as Regional Vice President (VP) for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), in addition to his current position as Head of Product Business Unit (PBU) for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Acer has also named Michele Montecchio as Country Manager for the Middle East (ME), beginning January 1, 2022, after Paul Collins’ decision to retire after a successful 7-year term leading the Acer Middle East and Africa business.

Acer has concentrated significantly on strengthening its operations in the region and has taken numerous initiatives to develop its business locally under Paul’s leadership. The company’s unwavering commitment to supporting the MEA area is shown in the changes in high management personnel.

Since 2017, Rossi has held the position of Vice President EMEA PBU. He has been with Acer since 2007, and began his career in product development. Rossi has held many leadership positions at Acer over the course of his roughly 15-year tenure. He joined the Acer EMEA PBU in 2013 and has been key in the brand’s development of efficient operations. Rossi will offer his essential strategic insights and skills to Acer’s position as an industry leader in the region as regional Vice President.

Michele Montecchio, the new Acer Middle East Country Manager, will be transferring to Dubai for his new position. He formerly worked for the company as EMEA Senior Manager, Consumer Notebooks and Gaming. His extensive product development experience and comprehensive understanding of end-to-end processes will be critical in the company’s pursuit of its objectives.
