Adyen, the global financial technology platform of choice for businesses, announces that it has become the first to embed the Click to Pay experience into its online checkout flow in all available markets.

This new technique for accessing data aims to overcome the common problem of having to enter credit card details manually when making a payment. By allowing registered customers to skip the step of entering their information during online checkout and finish the purchase with just a few clicks, it makes the payment process easier across various devices and web browsers. Click to Pay is another advancement in Adyen’s digital solutions, which have always been their primary focus, and it represents a significant step towards improving the shopping experience for customers and increasing sales for businesses worldwide.

Edgar Verschuur, Global Head of Payments at Adyen said “Many businesses still struggle with low conversion at online checkout, especially as it pertains to first-time or one-time shoppers.”

Verschuur added “We are committed to addressing this challenge using a range of global payment initiatives. By embedding Click to Pay into our online payment flow, we eliminate the need for consumers to manually enter their card details. This makes it quicker, more intuitive, and less error-prone for shoppers to successfully complete their purchase, which ultimately drives revenue for our customers.”

The likelihood that a customer will abandon their buy rises with each additional step in the payment process. Adyen makes online payments as quickly and simply as possible while keeping the highest level of trust and security to reduce the risk of drop-off at the checkout stage.

Rather than manually entering card details – a common cause of frustration which is prone to human error – Adyen retrieves a shopper’s historically preferred card information on their behalf. The resulting payment solution is available even when checking out as a guest. It not only saves time and effort but also provides shoppers with the comfort of not needing to share card details with every online business they transact with.

With the addition of Click to Pay to its expanding menu of checkout options, Adyen keeps paving the way for transactions that are easier and safer. Conversion, authorization, and the consumer experience as a whole are all improved by Click to Pay. Major card schemes like Visa and Mastercard accept it. Adyen is eager to assist in the expansion of the digital company.
