Amazon has unveiled the next generation of Kindle Paperwhite with two new models: the all-new Kindle Paperwhite and the first-ever Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. The most popular Kindle is the Kindle Paperwhite, and the latest version combines superior hardware, quicker performance, and a revamped user interface for a more pleasurable reading experience. The Kindle Paperwhite has a bigger display than the Kindle Paperwhite (10th generation), a new customizable warm light, and up to 10-week battery life, while the new Signature Edition has an auto-adjusting light sensor and is the first Kindle to provide wireless charging.

“Customers love Kindle Paperwhite, and we’ve worked hard to add even more premium experiences to the next generation,” said Kevin Keith, vice president of Amazon Devices and Services.

Also said, “The new Kindle Paperwhite comes with warm light, and larger display for even more comfort, 20% faster page turns, and up to 10 weeks of battery life—all in a compact, waterproof design that makes it easy to enjoy a book anywhere, day or night.  Now more than ever, it’s delightful to get lost in millions of books wherever you go.”

Larger, Warmer Paperwhite Display

On a sleek, flush-front design, the all-new Kindle Paperwhite blends a 6.8-inch display, the largest ever on a Kindle Paperwhite, with lower 10.2mm bezels. Furthermore, the 300 ppi Paperwhite display is glare-free, produces laser-quality text, and resembles genuine paper for comfortable reading in any environment, including bright sunshine. The display has an extra 10% brightness at its highest level to make reading easier on the eyes, and the customizable warm light and white-on-black dark mode give you the freedom to read at any time of day or night. The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition also has an auto-adjusting front light that adjusts the brightness of the display depending on the lighting around you so you can comfortably read in all conditions.

Read Anywhere, For Longer

Kindle devices may last for weeks on a single charge, so you can read without worrying about running out of juice. The all-new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition have the longest battery life of any Kindle Paperwhite yet, lasting up to 10 weeks. When utilizing a 9W adapter or bigger, rapid USB-C charging takes only 2.5 hours to get a full charge, allowing you to have more reading time. Wireless charging is available for the first time with the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. With an IPx8 rating, the all-new Kindle Paperwhite is intended to withstand inadvertent drops in the bathtub, hot tub, pool, and ocean, allowing you to read practically anywhere. Plus, with 8 GB of normal storage on the Kindle Paperwhite and 32 GB on the Signature Edition, you can store thousands of books. Customers in the United Arab Emirates can browse the Amazon.com collection, which includes over 1 million eBooks in over 40 languages, including thousands of Arabic titles.

All-new Kindle Experience

The Kindle Paperwhite boasts a totally revamped Kindleinterface, which includes several new features that make reading easier and more intuitive from the moment you pick up your device. The upgraded Kindle experience offers a new library experience that includes new filters and sort options, a new collections view, and an interactive scroll bar, as well as an easy method to navigate between the home page, your library, and your current book.

Simplified setup on the Kindle app for iOS and Android is a new way to get started—just pair your device with your phone to get started in fewer steps. Settings are accessible with a single swipe from anywhere on your device, allowing you to quickly alter features like screen brightness or turn on airplane or dark mode without losing your location. These new software functions will be available till the end of the year.

Features that Enrich Your Reading Experience

The all-new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition are designed to help you lose yourself in your favorite book. A Kindle, unlike other tablets and phones, does not have glare and will not distract you with social media, emails, text messages, or notifications. The all-new Kindle Paperwhite combines features that have made the Kindle family of devices the greatest for reading for years, increasing the experience beyond a print book, such as:

  • Whispersync— Your last page read, bookmarks, and annotations from your Kindle eBooks are saved and synchronised across all of your Kindle devices and applications, allowing you to pick up where you left off on any device.
  • Book Covers— On the lock screen, you may view the cover of the book you’re currently reading.
  • Word Wise— Many popular English language novels include brief, easy definitions that appear automatically above difficult words, allowing youngsters or anyone learning a new language to continue reading with fewer interruptions.
  • Accessibility Allows consumers to use assistive technology-compatible devices and reading apps and features that cater to a variety of reading requirements and tools that allow anyone to become a Kindle author.

The World’s Best eBook Store

The new Kindle Paperwhite devices, like all Kindle e-readers, come with quick access to the Kindle Store. Customers can visit Amazon US to access the Kindle Store, which has over 1 million eBooks in over 40 languages, including English, Arabic, and Hindi. You can download a free sample of a book to try before you buy it.

Climate Pledge Friendly

The new Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition were created with the idea of long-term use in mind. Both are made of 60 percent post-consumer recycled plastic and 70% recycled magnesium. Furthermore, 95% of the packaging is produced from wood fiber-based materials either responsibly managed forests or recycled materials.
