Axis will conduct dedicated smart cities technology conference at Expo 2020. As part of its participation in Expo 2020, which runs from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, Axis Communications is pleased to host six high-impact technology conferences. These fascinating seminars will be held at the Sweden Pavilion in the event’s Sustainability District in Dubai, and will address topics such as artificial intelligence for a better, safer tomorrow and securing the 5G era. Axis professionals will discuss important industry trends influencing our society and exhibit powerful solutions for smarter, safer, and more sustainable cities, so attendees can expect to be inspired and engaged.

The first Axis conference, titled “Share in the Discovery of Smart Cities,” will take place on October 12, 2021, and will focus on how the company’s unique cameras, Internet of Things (IoT) sensors, and surveillance analytics help cities around the world progress from safe to smart. Governments and businesses may use Axis to better understand, manage, and improve three crucial aspects of urban life: public safety, urban mobility, and environmental monitoring. The event will focus on these three areas, and guests will learn how to alter urban life and, as a result, create better cities to live in.

The meeting will be opened by Ettiene van der Watt, Axis’ Regional Director for the Middle East and Africa, and Marcus Filipsson, Axis’ Director of Special Marketing Projects. Andrea Sorri, the company’s Segment Development Manager of Smart Cities, will join them to talk about how to make cities more livable, secure their reputation, and invest in future-proof solutions. Sorri and other important guest speakers will discuss how to use technology and data to safeguard people, ensure citizens’ freedom of movement, and assist cities in growing and developing while considering environmental impact. The importance of smart buildings and their impact on quality of life and sustainability initiatives will subsequently be discussed by Sienna Dzanic, Axis Global Enterprise Marketing Manager. Andrea Sorri and Tertius Wolfaardt, the company’s Architecture and Engineering Manager, will close out this memorable event with a talk on the camera as a powerful sensor and an ecosystem of possibilities.

“The decisions we make today can either help or hinder our future generations, so we need to be more proactive and strategic in our actions if we are to create better cities to live in and a better future of our planet. With that in mind, we planned our technology conferences to align with likeminded partners and align on government visions to build a smarter, safer world. Axis is proud to be part of the solution, and we hope you’ll join us at Expo 2020 to explore opportunities for positive change and growth,” commented van der Watt.
