BARQ Systems, a regional IT services provider providing business and government clients across the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has announced its shift to an IT Service Provider with a full-fledged Managed Services Portfolio.

As part of this shift, BARQ Systems is introducing a new Security Operations Center as a Service (SOCaaS), marking the start of its journey to provide a broader set of subscription-based IT Services by 2025. BARQ Systems will participate in LEAP 2022, a premier technology platform, to present BARQ Systems’ strategy in the managed services industry, with the goal of highlighting their presence in the Saudi market and supporting Vision 2030.

The Saudi-based firm, which has offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Cairo, Dubai, and Abu Dhabi, will develop a SOCaaS platform that will provide customers with a full Cyber Security Threat monitoring and response solution on a 24/7 basis. They will offer all of the necessary equipment, infrastructure, and trained labour to handle such a complicated and demanding setup.

With an average of 2,200 cyber-attacks each day costing enterprises an average of USD 13 million, BARQ Systems saw the unavoidable need for SOCs. Customers will be able to secure their company assets with minimum CAPEX and a flexible OPEX strategy that is both scalable and dynamic with this solution.

“We are very excited to start our managed services offering with a key solution to address our customer’s most pressing need; a 24/7 Cyber-Security Threat Monitoring and Response. BARQ Systems Security Operations Center as a Service (SOCaaS) is based on extensive expertise in building, running, and managing multiple SOCs and Cyber-Security setups around the region, from the most complex to the most demanding”,  said Mahmoud Soliman, BARQ Systems Group Founder, President & CEO. “We are also excited to launch this in our home market, Saudi Arabia, and contributing to the massive growth we see on all levels,” added Mahmoud.

BARQ Systems plans to offer Edge Computing and Networking, Distributed-Cloud, Multi-Cloud Networking, DDoS Mitigation, Web App Security, and many more subscription-based services as part of their Managed Services Portfolio, which will be run on their purpose-built infrastructure and Operations Centers.

Visitors to the BARQ Systems booth located at #H3.H29, will get to discover the following:

  1. IT Infrastructure
  2. Cyber-Security
  3. Data Analytics and Application Management Solutions
  4. Managed Security Service (MSSP) {SOCaaS}
