The Dubai branch of BD (Becton,Dickinson and Company) stretches its commitment to support health care providers addressing the most crucial challenges and reimagine patient experience with at most care and safety. As part of its greater mission has announced the launch of its all-inclusive patient safety awareness campaign across the Middle East and North Africa.

BD is using a three-pronged approach to raise patient safety awareness as part of this programme. Educating Healthcare Care Professionals (HCPs) on how medical technology innovations can help reduce medication errors and infections, as well as increase diagnostic accuracy, while addressing care and safety across all stages of the patient journey, will be one of the company’s engagement activities. BD will also work with distributors and partners to deliver trainings to help healthcare providers foster a culture of patient safety and improved results by enhancing the usage of MedTech technologies in the region. In addition, the company’s combined effort for better patient care will spread on digital channels with Voices of Safety, a campaign that includes testimonies from individuals who share their tales in the company’s joint endeavour.

“At BD, patient safety is at the forefront of everything that we do,” said Maher Elhassan, Vice President and General Manager, BD Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey.

He added, “While the healthcare sector in the region transforms, healthcare providers continue to face numerous challenges. As we pursue our mission to advance the world of health, it is our primary responsibility to support and equip caregivers with innovations so they can provide high-quality patient care while maintaining the highest level of safety. Initiatives like these encourage stakeholders to make a profound impact in communities across the region.”

The Center for Safety and Clinical Excellence in Dubai (CSCE), the world’s second such facility (after BD’s long-standing CSCE in San Diego, California), was recently launched as part of BD’s continued efforts and investments to improve patient safety in MENA. The CSCE is committed to serving the healthcare sector by demonstrating the potential of medical technologies and providing specialised training across the continuum of care – from medication management and parenteral drug delivery to diagnostics and clinical research solutions – thereby assisting providers in meeting national and international safety standards and contributing to more sustainable healthcare systems in the United States.
