IDC MarketScape Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security 2021 Vendor Assessment for Enterprise2021 Vendor Assessment (Doc # US48306021, November 2021) and IDC MarketScape Worldwide Modern Endpoint Security 2021 Vendor Assessment for Small Medium Size Business 2021 Vendor Assessment (Doc # US48304721, November 2021) both named Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. as a Major Player.

“The latest IDC MarketScape reports validates that modern endpoint security should be considered as part of a holistic security solution that integrates different security products functioning together to provide the highest level of security for users while reducing overhead and TCO,” said Itai Greenberg, VP of Product Management at Check Point Software Technologies.

He added, “Check Point’s HarmonyEndpoint is a part of the Harmony product suite, the industry’s first unified security solution for users, devices and access, that is easy to use, manage and buy. Harmony protects users against all threats such as malware, ransomware and phishing, and across all threat vectors including endpoint, mobile, web, email, and collaboration apps”.

Modern endpoint security (MES) technology is the combination of endpoint protection platforms (EPPs) for deterministic prevention and endpoint detection and response (EDR) for post-compromise reaction.

Both IDC MarketScape reports, for enterprise and small medium-size business, notekey strengths for Check Point:

  • Profitable. Check Point has a history of reinvesting in core security technologies, threat research, new and enhanced products, system management, and sales channel, and has been a consistently successful firm for over 15 years.
  •  Broad and integrated product portfolio. Check Point has a comprehensive and integrated security product range that it has combined into mix-and-match suites and product sets, as previously stated. Check Point is ideally positioned to engage with clients as they look to cut down on vendor ties while increasing security readiness.
  • Distinctive MES product capabilities. Check Point is one of just a few MES suppliers that provide rollback remediation and hardware security integration. Threat emulation and threat extraction are other unique aspects of the MES solution.
  • Consumer business. Check Point’s ZoneAlarm brand is engaged in the consumer market. ZoneAlarm offers Check Point with an extra segment to test its core endpoint security solutions, in addition to threat intelligence acquired from millions of consumer endpoints.

Check Point Harmony Endpoint is a comprehensive endpoint security solution designed to defend today’s mobile workforce from a wide range of threats. It protects endpoints from the most serious threats, including as ransomware, phishing, and drive-by malware, while also minimising the effect of a breach with autonomous detection and response.

The IDC MarketScape report evaluates nineteen distinct MES software providers based on an in-depth study that assessed and positioned vendors across a broad variety of capabilities and strategy-focused criteria, using both quantitative and qualitative criteria.
