Cisco welcomed the technology community in EMEA to Cisco Live, its top-notch networking and security gathering. Over 9,000 attendees had gathered in Amsterdam and even more virtually, to observe how Cisco’s customers and partners connected and collaborated in the present, and came up with innovative ideas for the future.
Liz Centoni, EVP and Chief Strategy Officer, Jonathan Davidson, EVP and General Manager Cisco Networking, customers, and Cisco executives will all be welcomed to the Cisco Live stage by Wendy Mars, President of Cisco EMEA, to discuss their visions for the future of digital technology. A wide range of innovation presentations, practical laboratories, leadership, and technical education events are available to attendees. The Sustainability Zone, a Hybrid Work area with Webex Hologram, and the Medibus, a mobile medical clinic created in collaboration with Deutsche Bahn, Germany’s largest public transportation provider as part of the Cisco Country Digital Acceleration programme, will be on display at the World of Solutions.

Findings from the Cisco Cybersecurity Readiness Index reveal that while the technology to secure devices is widely adopted, more progress is needed to protect identity, networks, and applications.
Cisco clients now have access to improved risk-based security options across the company’s security offerings, to better secure hybrid work and multi-cloud environments. The launch of Risk-Based Authentication gives users secure access, backed by real-time context signals. Moreover, Cisco is introducing Business Risk Observability, a unique advancement in the company’s Full-Stack Observability application security solution, accessible through Cisco Secure Application. These advancements showcase the company’s progress towards fulfilling its vision of the Cisco Security Cloud, which aims to secure the entirety of an organization’s IT ecosystem.
Organizations are extending their networks to new places. They need to connect core enterprise operations to industrial spaces, spanning utility grids, manufacturing facilities, and transportation networks. They are also prioritizing sustainability and resiliency in their operations, driving the need for greater visibility across their environments. The distributed nature of these operations makes these networks complex to manage, and as these industries digitize their assets, the cybersecurity attack surface grows.
Additionally, Cisco reveals fresh advancements in cloud-managed networking at Cisco Live Amsterdam, keeping up its pledge to assist clients in streamlining their IT operations. Cisco has declared the introduction of Carbon Emissions Insights in its Webex Control Hub, providing valuable insights to help organizations achieve their sustainability targets. It is a groundbreaking solution, as it provides scope 2 emissions reporting and suggestions for optimizing energy utilization and usage of Cisco Webex devices in the field of collaboration.
Cisco’s commitment to sustainability beyond its emissions will come to life in Amsterdam through a showcase of its sustainability solutions portfolio, including:

The World Economic Forum estimates that by 2025, global automation and technological advancements will result in the loss of 85 million jobs while creating 97 million new ones. A strong digital economy is necessary for communities to be able to innovate, develop, and compete on a global scale. At the event, Cisco declares that its Networking Academy programme will train 10 million individuals in EMEA over the next ten years in digital and cybersecurity capabilities. This is a component of Cisco’s 10-year goal to equip 25 million individuals globally with the digital skills necessary to build, manage, and protect the crucial digital systems that underpin our society.
