DEWA highlights key ventures & inventive digital advancements at GITEX 2021

DEWA will highlight key ventures & inventive digital advancements at GITEX 2021, by attending the 41st GITEX Technology Week, at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 17 to 21, 2021. It will showcase major projects, services, and smart and creative efforts that have contributed to its continued excellence and leadership as one of the world’s leading utilities.

DEWA will showcase its latest technologies and innovative digital solutions this year, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and others, to keep up with the latest Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and disruptive technologies. This improves DEWA’s competitiveness and aids in achieving its goals. DEWA’s competitiveness is boosted as a result, and it is closer to realizing its aim of becoming a global leader in sustainable innovation.

 “DEWA participates every year in the GITEX Technology Week to showcase its latest technologies in electricity and water sectors as well as customer service. It also shares best experiences and practices in digital transformation, in accordance with its efforts to enhance the happiness of stakeholders and provide value-added services in addition to achieving the Dubai 10X initiative. The initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make the Government of Dubai 10 years ahead of other cities. This also helps achieve other national strategies, including the UAE Centennial 2071 and the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031. GITEX Technology Week 2021 is held in conjunction with Expo 2020 Dubai. This enables us to meet many experts, solution providers, investors, decision-makers, and potential business partners from different parts of the world,” said HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA.

Aside from its own projects, DEWA will show off projects from its digital arm, Digital DEWA, as well as other Dubai 10X-related projects from its subsidiaries. Green Data Centre; Smart Cities Command and Control Centre; Smart Cities and IoT services; Moro cloud services; and cybersecurity services are among the projects undertaken by Data Hub Integrated Solutions (Moro). DEWA will also highlight Digital X projects such as GoBe Robots and Infra X projects in the utilities industry, which feature 5G solutions and innovative technologies.
