du has announced its participation in the National Career Exhibition taking place in Sharjah from February 9-11, 2020. Under the theme “Join our leap into the 50 years”, du will offer exciting career and development opportunities in line with its Emiratisation vision and strategy. The company’s strategy focuses on recruiting young Emiratis and help them develop and grow.

Ehab Hassan, Chief Human Resources Officer, du, said: “du is committed to developing emerging UAE talent in line with the government’s vision to establish an advanced economy based on knowledge and innovation. Through our participation in the National Career Exhibition, we aim to attract and train qualified UAE Nationals to lead the ICT sector in the future. For more than 15 years, du has been a proud participant in the Careers UAE platform. We believe in developing the unique skillsets needed to drive the progress of our sector and the UAE requires Emirati talents to be equipped with knowledge in emerging technology fields.”

He added: “As a dynamic and evolving ICT organisation, we are focused on developing talent for growth areas such as AI, big data, security, and blockchain technologies. These technology fields are the areas that will contribute significant social and economic progress in line with the UAE Vision 2021.”

‘Unleashing Emirati potential’

At the event, du representatives will raise awareness about the various job opportunities it offers and meet prospective candidates to join a diverse team comprising of more than 60 nationalities.

The telco’s professional learning and development team gives priority to training UAE nationals and enhances their leadership through the Leadership Academy, which has witnessed the graduation UAE national employees from different levels of the company. Moreover, du has registered its Emirati employees with executive programs such as INSEAD and the Women Leaders Program at the University of Ashridge, UK. Also, du is a supporter of the Government Accelerators programme, an initiative run by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, by employing 37 citizens of the United Arab Emirates across all departments of the company.
