The Museum of the Future has expanded its retail experience by opening a physical store offering limited-edition and exclusive items including replicas from some of its most popular exhibits.

The store, which offers especially produced goods inspired by the museum’s exhibitions and design, gives a glimpse into the future of retail. Local designers and well-known international artists, such as Jason Bruges and Ally Powell, who not only created the shop’s most recent limited-edition line but also selected some of the exhibits, are responsible for many of the things in the modern space.

The collection features a small version of “The Centre”, an artistic creation based on the Al Waha exhibit. This limited edition piece pays tribute to the concept of future wellness and sensory reconnection, just like the original exhibit. The store also offers a one-of-a-kind brass reproduction of “Monument to the Pioneers”, which is based on the OSS Hope exhibit and depicts the solar system in gallery art form. All items in the store reflect the visitor’s experience at Dubai’s Museum of the Future, allowing them to bring home a piece of the museum.

Visitors can browse the shop’s lovely collections and little works of art in an ever-changing, ever-evolving auditory environment thanks to its custom AI-powered audio system.

Majed Al Mansoori, Deputy Executive Director of the Museum of the Future said “We are pleased to open the Museum of the Future’s new flagship store as part of our uncompromising commitment to offer immersive new experiences to complement our extensive collection of exhibitions, talks and events. Stocking a wide range of exclusive, limited-edition products and memorabilia including unique items from local designers, it offers everyone the chance to take home a piece of the future.”

Around half of the products available are entirely bespoke to the museum, including those inspired by the cursive Arabic script, or Thuluth, that decorates the façade. These special collections celebrate both Arabic calligraphy and the 3D-printing technology used in the museum’s construction.

Furthermore, the shop offers an array of aesthetically pleasing and practical items like keychains, magnets, tote bags, coin purses, pouches, scarfs, books, and coffee sets. Visitors can also purchase clothing made from recycled materials, educational games that draw inspiration from the future, and unique pieces created by local Emirati designers. For kids, the shop offers gifts inspired by the Future Heroes exhibit.
