Edenred initiates new sustainable C3Pay salary cards in the UAE

Edenred introduces the UAE’s first recycled polyvinyl chloride (PVC) paycheck cards. This  sustainable salary cards are comprised of 85.5% recyclable PVC and printed with environmentally friendly ink.

The recovered PVC comes from European printing and packaging waste, and each card can save up to 3.18g of industrial trash. Furthermore, the cards can be reused up to eight times. These eco-friendly cards will be accessible to all Edenred UAE users in December 2021 and can be used in-store and online anywhere in the world.

With the introduction of eco-friendly salary cards that have the highest concentration of recycled PVC in the market, we now have an opportunity to address some of the environmental concerns in the UAE and provide a sustainable choice for all our customers. Edenred UAE is dedicated to minimizing its carbon footprint, resource usage, and waste, as well as monitoring the long-term impact of its solutions. For Good.” One of Edenred’s top aims in terms of environmental policy is to take an eco-design approach to these solutions, whether physical or digital. Because recycled PVC requires less energy to make than regular plastic cards, eco-friendly cards are part of Edenred’s efforts to support a sustainable economy.

Edenred eco-friendly wage cards have a unique vertical design with a new recycle badge on the back to assist buyers in recognise cards made of recyclable PVC.

According to a study by the Boston Consulting Group, 81 percent of UAE consumers are aware of climate change and are eager to live more sustainably.
