Eight smart home gadgets unveiled by Amazon at its annual hardware event

Amazon has unveiled eight new smart home gadgets at its annual fall event of 2021. Amazon conducted its annual hardware event on Tuesday, announcing several new products and services. The e-commerce giant unveiled various new products, including Amazon Astro, Thermostat, Echo Show 15, Amazon Kids+, Amazon Glow, Halo View, Ring, and Alexa Together.

Below is a quick summary of every product and service Amazon announced at the big hardware event.

1. Amazon Astro

The Amazon Astro is a new Wall-E-style autonomous robot that combines Alexa and AI applications with some wheels. The Astro is a robotic pet that includes a periscope camera featuring a live feed, Ring Protect Pro compatibility, and other features. Astro would have its functions, such as the capacity to beatbox and relax on order and be more than simply Alexa on wheels.

Astro is also capable of navigating about your home without the usage of pre-programmed routes. Astro is a fully autonomous device that can move, sight, listen, comprehend, and respond by itself. 2. Amazon Smart Thermostat

Dave Limp, the executive vice president of devices and services at Amazon, says the $60 smart device works with Alexa. You can, however, hang it on the wall or put it on a stand.  The latest model now incorporates facial recognition for customized alerts and more, specifically if the hub identifies your face, strengthening the competition with Apple. Like Google’s Hub Max, it also has personalized to-do lists and sold for $250 at Amazon. However, the Echo Show 15 has a few much-anticipated characteristics below:

Kids can utilize the video screen to communicate with relatives and friends who live far away. It comes with a silicone mat so you can read, play, and draw with your loved ones. The Amazon Glow is a new gadget with a built-in screen and projector that gives youngsters an interactive experience. Kids can observe their parents, instructors, and guardians on an 8-inch LCD, while the projected image below serves as a secondary interactive display. The gadget is also lightweight and portable, allowing it to be used on any flat surface.

Amazon Glow also allows you to scan images and toys to create digital elements such as stickers and jigsaw puzzles. 6. Amazon Halo View

The Amazon Halo View is a brand-new addition to Halo devices from Amazon. The new fitness tracker came with a few functionalities, like an AMOLED color display screen. Users of Halo View can also expect Halo Fitness and Nutrition services, which will assist them with exercise and a healthy diet. It helps the Halo user in various ways, such as movement, emotional expressions, and body analysis provided by the camera. It’s also compatible with the original Halo band. 7. Amazon Blink and Ring

At the event, Amazon unveiled a slew of new Ring security devices. The Ring Always Home Cam, for example, is a personalized drone camera that can fly around your property and give you an entire look around whenever you want it.

The Ring Alarm Pro is an expertly controlled surveillance system with a built-in WiFi 6 eero network and the Ring Virtual Full-time security feature, which allows you to have professionals monitor your cameras. Amazon also launched the Blink Video Doorbell, which will enable users to view and speak with guests at their front doors.

8. Alexa Together

Amazon also rolled out a subscription-based emergency response service. You can ask Alexa to call for assistance, which can link you with emergency personnel, as well as send an alarm to a family member. With the subscription service, several caregivers can keep in the loop.
