The UAE’s Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, in collaboration with OpenAI, has announced the launch of the AI Leadership Guide in Arabic. The strategic initiative aims to equip leaders with the latest knowledge and expertise to drive digital transformation and harness artificial intelligence (AI) technologies across key sectors.

The initiative reflects the UAE’s ongoing commitment to advancing national strategies in AI and digital transformation. It also strengthens the country’s position as a global hub for innovation and advanced technology. The guide provides practical frameworks for policymakers and institutional leaders to support strategic decision-making and promote the responsible use of AI in line with ethical standards and societal goals.

Saqr Binghalib, Executive Director of the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office, revealed that developing leadership capabilities in AI is a national priority. He noted that the rapid pace of AI adoption now exceeds the acceleration seen during the rise of the Internet.

Binghalib emphasized that the UAE’s leadership views AI as the “language of the future.” He added that early investment in AI enables governments to prepare for global leadership in the coming decades.

The AI Leadership Guide provides a practical framework that empowers leaders to make informed strategic decisions and enhance institutional performance through AI. It focuses on building skills and capabilities to ensure effective use of AI technologies and improve operational efficiency.

The guide is structured around five key principles for leading AI transformation:
• Align – Set measurable goals for AI adoption that support national priorities.
• Activate – Build strong human and technical infrastructure through training and innovation.
• Amplify – Create innovation hubs to exchange insights and scale impact.
• Accelerate – Enable faster access to data, tools, and partnerships for efficient AI projects.
• Govern – Establish ethical frameworks and policies that guide responsible AI use.

Officials reported that these principles will help institutions implement AI responsibly while aligning with global best practices and fostering sustainable innovation.
