CommScope (NASDAQ: COMM) has announced a series of cutting-edge AI-driven solutions from RUCKUS Networks, integrating generative, edge, and intent-based AI features with its Wi-Fi 7 portfolio to enhance simplicity, automation, and customization for enterprise networks.

In addition, RUCKUS Networks and Nokia are previewing a collaborative enterprise solution that combines Nokia’s next-gen optical LAN technology with RUCKUS Wi-Fi access points (APs) and the RUCKUS One® platform. This new solution, which reduces the complexity, space, energy, and costs associated with traditional copper-based LANs, offers a green, high-capacity alternative for in-building and campus connectivity. The platform also integrates AI-driven multi-access network assurance, service delivery, and business intelligence, set to launch later this year but available for preview at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona at booth 2F40.

Geert Heyninck, General Manager of Broadband Networks at Nokia, expressed, “Optical LAN provides significant operational and sustainable benefits, reducing TCO by 50%, and is ideal for industries such as hospitality, higher education, and campus networks. Our collaboration with RUCKUS Networks offers a future-proof, easy-to-use solution combining our optical LAN with their advanced Wi-Fi 7 and AI capabilities.”

Bart Giordano, SVP and President of Networking Intelligent Cellular and Security Solutions at CommScope, added, “AI is the driving force behind modern networks. By integrating the latest AI technologies with our Wi-Fi access points, we’re optimizing enterprise network efficiencies and simplifying management and automation. At MWC, we’re previewing this AI-driven fiber-powered solution in collaboration with Nokia, shaping the future of intelligent enterprise networks.”

Siân Morgan, Research Director at Dell’Oro Group, highlighted the market potential, stating, “Combining RUCKUS Wi-Fi 7 with Nokia’s optical LAN positions this solution to thrive in the growing WLAN market, set for double-digit growth in 2025. It will appeal to multi-dwelling units, hotels, and educational institutions, helping them future-proof their fiber-powered campus networks.”
