Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will present its key projects and those of its subsidiaries at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), hosted by the UAE at Expo City Dubai. Situated in the Green Zone, the DEWA stand will spotlight its endeavors in energy, water, clean and renewable energy, space, digital transformation, green mobility, smart grid, innovation investment, and cutting-edge technologies. According to Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD and CEO of DEWA, “In Dubai, we have initiated major projects and strategic initiatives aligned with the goals of the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050 and the Dubai Net Zero Carbon Emissions Strategy 2050, which aim to achieve 100% clean energy production capacity for Dubai by 2050. Notable among these initiatives is the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park. DEWA is also actively involved in pioneering efforts to diversify clean energy sources, encompassing photovoltaic (PV) panels, concentrated solar power (CSP), green hydrogen production through solar energy, and pumped-storage water technology utilizing clean energy in Hatta. Additionally, DEWA has executed projects and initiatives to enhance energy efficiency.”
