The inaugural CISO Business Briefing at Intersec 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), addressed one of the most critical challenges in cybersecurity today—the growing risks posed by Agentic AI and disinformation. The session titled “Mitigating Risk from AI Agents, Disinformation Security,” led by Faheem Siddiqui, Director of Information Security at Majid Al Futtaim Holding, explored the transformative impact of disinformation on security and highlighted the urgent need for advanced governance and innovative defensive measures.

Siddiqui outlined the significant threats posed by Agentic AI, self-directed systems capable of creating sophisticated disinformation such as deepfakes and brand impersonations. He warned that by 2026, attacks utilizing AI-generated synthetic identities will render 30% of enterprises’ current identity verification and authentication systems insufficient. Siddiqui emphasized the importance of businesses adopting robust AI governance frameworks and investing in solutions to secure critical business functions, including security, legal, marketing, and public relations.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, delivered the keynote address, setting the stage for the CISO Business Briefing, which serves as a platform for top cybersecurity leaders to tackle emerging threats. The event featured additional high-impact discussions, including a panel on cybersecurity exercises to proactively uncover vulnerabilities and a session on strategies to demonstrate the value of cybersecurity investments to secure executive-level support. Prominent organizations such as Mubadala, Mastercard, Al Etihad Payments, Qatar Energy, NEOM, KAUST, and Mashreq Bank contributed to the discussions.
