President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks today with US President Donald Trump to discuss the strategic partnership between the UAE and the United States. The discussions took place during President Trump’s state visit to the UAE.

The meeting was hosted at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. His Highness welcomed the US President and underlined the significance of the visit. He emphasized its role in advancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

Officials reported that both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties. They focused on expanding cooperation in investment, energy, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and industry.

The two leaders also addressed regional and global matters of mutual concern. These included ongoing efforts to contain regional tensions that pose risks to security and stability.

His Highness noted that the UAE-US partnership spans over 50 years. He highlighted the foundations of mutual trust, shared interests, and close cooperation in political, economic, and cultural areas.

In addition, His Highness reiterated the UAE’s dedication to deepening cooperation with the US. This commitment, he said, aligns with their shared vision to promote peace, security, and sustainable development worldwide.

President Trump praised Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s leadership. He stated that UAE-US relations have reached new heights and continue to strengthen.

During the meeting, the two leaders celebrated a major technological development. They announced the launch of a new 1-gigawatt AI cluster, which will be hosted at an Abu Dhabi-based AI campus.

President Trump also signed the guestbook at Qasr Al Watan. He expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and affirmed the enduring nature of UAE-US relations.

His Highness hosted a dinner banquet in honor of the US President and his accompanying delegation.

The meeting was attended by several UAE officials, including:

  • H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
  • H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence
  • H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi
  • H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior
  • H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Senior ministers and advisors were also present, alongside the US delegation.

Reports emphasized that the UAE remains a reliable US partner in addressing shared challenges. Both leaders affirmed their intent to further strengthen this strategic friendship.
