In addition to deploying 60 public buses and three types of maritime transit for this massive event, RTA plans to operate 1,382 metro trips daily and add more than 700 taxis to the authority’s current fleet of 11,310 taxis.

The city’s public transit system will coordinate to transport FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 attendees from Dubai and those flying into Al Maktoum International Airport to Qatar.

Fans Zones

Football fans in Dubai can enjoy and watch live streaming of FIFA World Cup activities in various locations. For locals and foreigners, the key destination is the Dubai harbour which has been designated as the official FIFA Fan Zone. Other fan zones like Barasti, Dubai Media City and zero gravity are also supported by RTA.

Flexible Plans

Real-time traffic circumstances will be taken into consideration by RTA’s responsive integrated public transport master plan to dynamically distribute resources. RTA, in collaboration with Dubai Police and the organisers of the fan zone in Dubai Harbour, have established a plan for controlling traffic and transportation there. To get spectators from Bluewaters Island to Dubai Harbour, there will be buses, taxis, and boats available. To facilitate vehicle movement and guarantee a smooth traffic flow, mobile crews monitoring fan zones will control traffic on King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street.

Marine Transport

Two Dubai ferries and one water taxi will be allocated by RTA and the timings of it will be synched with the match schedules. The water transit ways will carry riders from Bluewaters island to Dubai harbour with economy class costing AED 25 and gold class costing AED 35.

Advanced Infrastructure

Dubai features modern infrastructure and logistics, including international airports, seaports, cutting-edge road networks, and opulent tourist attractions like hotels, parks, and golden beaches.
