Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), part of Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), has released a new report titled “15 AI Use Cases in Government.” The launch took place during Dubai AI Week, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.

The report outlines how AI is improving government operations and public services. It highlights real-world results such as a 300% increase in recovered lost items and a 94.6% boost in the accuracy of multilingual digital texts. It also shows an 85% improvement in real estate valuation accuracy.

Moreover, the report explains that AI systems can now respond to up to 80% of common customer inquiries. They have also helped reduce operational costs by up to 70% in some areas. In addition, generative AI has significantly lowered the cost of digital content production.

The report includes case studies from different government sectors. For example, AI chatbots now handle up to 60% of routine questions. A user survey found that 60% of respondents prefer AI-assisted services.

AI is also being used in healthcare. The report notes that it helps cut the time to find cancer treatments by up to 50%. It also increases diagnostic accuracy by 40%.

In urban planning, AI can reduce design time by 40% and improve resource allocation by 35%. For finance and logistics, AI has led to a 30% drop in financial errors and a 15% decrease in service costs.

Economically, the report says AI could contribute 14% to the UAE’s GDP by 2030. Across the Middle East, AI is expected to add $320 billion in value by the same year.

Saeed Al Falasi, Director of DCAI, said the goal is to position Dubai as a global AI hub. He added that DCAI connects the public and private sectors with academia to support AI innovation and policy development.

He also mentioned that 75 AI pilot projects have already been launched. This report focuses on 15 successful examples that others can learn from.

The 15 AI Use Cases include customer service, healthcare, urban planning, real estate, logistics, workforce management, advertising, and more.
