The Dubai Youth Retreat was organized by the Dubai Youth Council under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed. Sheikha Latifa chairs the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, which supported the event as part of its youth empowerment mission. The retreat aimed to inspire and equip the next generation of leaders with tools for innovation, creativity, and positive impact.

Hosted at the Etihad Museum, the event provided a historic setting that symbolized the nation’s roots and progressive future vision. Key Emirati leaders, including Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi and Omar Sultan Al Olama, attended and addressed the participating youth. Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi serves as Minister of State for Youth Affairs and is also the UAE’s first astronaut in space.

Omar Al Olama is Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications in the UAE government. Other leaders from different sectors also joined, showing strong national support for empowering the future generation of Emirati youth. The retreat focused on enhancing youth leadership capabilities and inspiring them to create innovative solutions for real-world challenges.

Dubai Culture emphasized the importance of nurturing young minds through meaningful engagement, creativity, and forward-thinking opportunities. Workshops and brainstorming sessions tackled diverse themes such as economy, innovation, artificial intelligence, space, and community service. These sessions encouraged youth to think critically, collaborate effectively, and express their visions for a better future. The retreat also aimed to bridge the gap between youth and leadership by fostering open dialogue and idea-sharing. Such interactions helped build mutual understanding and promoted the inclusion of young voices in decision-making processes.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa highlighted that Dubai remains committed to supporting youth through platforms that drive innovation and cultural growth. She emphasized youth as key agents of change who contribute to shaping a creative, inclusive, and sustainable society. Dr. Sultan Al Neyadi also noted the need for youth to dream big and work toward building a brighter future. Hala Badri, Director General of Dubai Culture, reinforced the value of empowering youth to lead impactful initiatives nationwide.

The retreat concluded with the launch of six dedicated dialogue platforms to further engage youth across vital focus areas. These platforms allow Emirati youth to raise concerns, share solutions, and collaborate on national and global development issues. Through such initiatives, Dubai strengthens its role as a global innovation leader rooted in the ambition of its youth. The retreat successfully celebrated young talent while creating meaningful pathways for their growth, ideas, and leadership potential.
