DWTC to spearhead the digital event experiences with Extreme Networks.  Extreme Network-enabled a large-scale network makeover for the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), expanding the venue’s network capacity.

DWTC can offer several next-generation digital applications, including media displays and contactless engagement technologies, more robust security, and improved health and safety measures, as a result of installing Extreme solutions, such as Extreme Fabric Connect and Extreme Analytics.

Since its inception in 1979, the Dubai World Trade Center has played a critical role in the development of Dubai’s business tourism and trade. DWTC turned to Extreme to help make Dubai the world’s top location for major exhibits, conferences, and events, including GITEX GLOBAL 2021, and to prepare for a 50% increase in network traffic year over year. They’ve collaborated to create a converged IP network infrastructure driven by Extreme Fabric Connect and Extreme Analytics. The team at DWTC will receive improved visibility into foot traffic patterns, congregation areas, concessions traffic, and general app usage throughout its events by utilizing Extreme Analytics. These insights will allow them to optimize venue operations and provide more personalized experiences for all attendees.

Key Benefits:

  • Secure, Reliable, and Scalable Connectivity: The demand for high-bandwidth digital applications, such as contactless engagement technologies and high-definition video, may now be met by DWTC. DWTC can also host several CCTV cameras with high reliability, enhancing venue security and ensuring compliance with COVID-19 safety requirements. Furthermore, Extreme Fabric Connect provides network security features such as backdoor elimination, lateral movement prevention, and isolation of potentially insecure devices.
  • Simplified Network Operations: Extreme Fabric Connect provides DWTC with an easy and agile way to deploy new services by providing a strong and flexible solution for designing, building, managing, and troubleshooting networking. Furthermore, the VSP switches’ enhanced features enable full-featured network virtualization to be deployed flexibly across a variety of network scenarios.
  • Real-Time Insights and Analytics: DWTC now has detailed visibility into how its users, devices, and apps interact with its network, thanks to Extreme Analytics. The centre may get useful utilization insights, enhance its network’s capabilities, and discover and prevent overpopulation with real-time data.
