e& UAE, the telecom arm of e&, has successfully completed the world’s first 2.4Tbps per wavelength lab trial, in collaboration with Huawei. This groundbreaking trial marks a pivotal advancement in the UAE’s optical infrastructure, setting the stage for accelerating the nation’s AI strategy and digital economy transformation.

Sultan Rashid Abdalla Ali Aboud Al Naqbi, Vice President of Transport Infrastructure Development at e& UAE, expressed pride in being the first to test the 2.4Tbps optical solution globally. “This trial demonstrates e& UAE’s commitment to next-generation technologies.
