Dubai Chamber of Commerce has announced the launch of a new Fintech & Payments Business Group aimed at bringing together companies of all sizes within the fintech and payments sector to encourage collegial dialogue, advocate policy change and promote the emirate as a highly competitive global commercial centre.

The establishment of the new business group is a part of the chamber’s ambitions to expand the number of organisations that speak for Dubai’s many industries and commercial pursuits. This will strengthen these entities’ competitiveness and promote Dubai’s sustainable growth.

The new Group will play a crucial role in assisting Dubai businesses and giving members important information and analysis on trends throughout the fintech ecosystem so they can take advantage of suggestions for policy and regulatory reform and profit from new developments in financial technology.

Commenting on the launch, Maha AlGargawi, Executive Director of Business Advocacy at Dubai Chambers said “Business groups are an important component in creating a supportive, enabling and world-class business environment in Dubai. Through continued transparent discussions, the business group will be able to support essential policy changes that will facilitate and improve the ease of doing business in Dubai and cement the emirate’s position as a dynamic and global business hub.”

The Fintech and Payments Business Group will keep an eye out for ways to adopt the highest standards in providing businesses with financial services and payment solutions.

Business organisations serve as dependable sectoral champions and are crucial in suggesting policy reforms that will increase a sector’s attractiveness and competitiveness while advancing global best practices and fostering economic growth. By March 2023, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce hopes to have business organisations representing 100 different economic sectors and activities.
