The National Programme for Coders, in partnership with Samsung Gulf Electronics, has launched the Galaxy AI Pioneers program, designed to introduce UAE youth aged 12-17 to Artificial Intelligence (AI). This initiative, building on the success of the Samsung Innovation Campus during the UAE AI Camp 2024, represents a significant development in the collaboration between Samsung and the UAE AI Office.

Running from September 23, 2024, to December 15, 2024, the Galaxy AI Pioneers program will offer a hybrid learning experience, combining virtual and in-person sessions at Coders HQ in Dubai. The curriculum will cover AI fundamentals, machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, AI robotics, natural language processing, and the ethical implications of AI. Students will also undertake a capstone project and explore Samsung Galaxy AI applications.

Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Mahmoud from the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office commented, “The Galaxy AI Pioneers program is a testament to our efforts to advance AI education in the UAE. Our collaboration with Samsung aims to equip young people with practical AI skills and an understanding of its ethical aspects, which is vital for building a future-ready workforce and supporting our digital economy.”

Shafi Alam, Director at Samsung Gulf Electronics, highlighted, “Galaxy AI Pioneers reflects our commitment to nurturing technological talent among UAE youth. By providing hands-on AI experience, we are fostering innovation and preparing the next generation of technology leaders.”

The program will also include guest lectures from industry experts, offering students insights into real-world AI applications and potential career paths in technology.
