With AI-driven cybercrime and ransomware attacks on the rise, GISEC Global 2025 is set to return to Dubai from May 6 to 8. The event will gather top leaders, innovators, and visionaries in a joint effort to secure the digital future.

Held at Dubai World Trade Centre, GISEC Global 2025 will unite over 450 CISOs, 25,000 professionals from 160 countries, and 750+ global brands. Major tech companies such as AWS, Huawei, and Microsoft will participate alongside cutting-edge startups. This year’s theme is “Securing an AI-Powered Future.”

Notably, 2025 has been declared the “Year of Community” by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Therefore, GISEC Global 2025 will focus on building a connected and empowered society through collaboration, AI, and entrepreneurship.

The event features key players like Huawei, AWS, Microsoft, Google Cloud Security, Cisco, Deloitte, Kaspersky, Check Point, Cloudflare, and Honeywell. Moreover, companies like Spire Solutions, CPX, CyberKnight, and CrowdStrike will showcase cybersecurity innovations.

GISEC Global 2025 arrives as cybersecurity threats escalate. According to the World Economic Forum’s Global Security Outlook 2025 report, 66% of organizations see AI as a cybersecurity game-changer. However, only 14% feel prepared to respond effectively.

The global cybersecurity market is growing fast. It is projected to reach $298.5 billion by 2028, rising from $190.4 billion in 2023. In the Middle East, 45% of organizations now rank cyber risk mitigation as their top operational priority.

New features this year include the Next-Gen Cyber Warriors Competition for students, a Critical Infrastructure Programme, and the Africa Cyber Resilience Initiative. Furthermore, the GISEC AI showcase will cover pressing topics like deepfake scams and adversarial AI.

In addition, the event will launch GISEC North Star, supporting innovative cybersecurity startups, and host the Dubai Cyber Challenge, an exclusive Capture the Flag competition for Dubai government teams.

Dubai’s hosting of GISEC Global 2025 highlights the UAE’s leadership in cybersecurity, as the nation ranks #1 in the Global Cybersecurity Index 2024. This event will drive international collaboration to secure the digital economy.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, emphasized the importance of GISEC Global 2025, stating it comes at a critical time for cyber threats. He reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to uniting global stakeholders and securing the digital future.

Similarly, H.E. Yousuf Al Shaibani, Director General of Dubai Electronic Security Center, stressed the need for cyber resilience as Dubai’s digital transformation accelerates. DESC’s participation will aim to advance cybersecurity innovation and collaboration.

Trixie LohMirmand, EVP of Dubai World Trade Centre, underlined GISEC Global’s role in tackling global cybersecurity challenges and managing emerging risks.

Sean Yang, Global Cybersecurity and Privacy Protection Officer at Huawei, confirmed the company’s commitment as Lead Strategic Partner of GISEC Global 2025. He highlighted Huawei’s focus on providing secure, trusted solutions through strong industry collaboration.

GISEC Global 2025 is hosted by the UAE Cybersecurity Council and supported by the Dubai Electronic Security Center, the UAE Ministry of Interior, and Dubai Police. The event promises to be a critical platform for shaping a resilient digital world.
