GITEX GLOBAL 2025, the world’s largest tech and AI event, opened to capacity crowds at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The monumental edition marks 45 years of technological progress and collaboration.

Taking place from October 13 to 17, the event has brought together over 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups, 1,200 investors, and delegations from more than 180 countries. Organisers revealed that this year’s edition highlights the fusion of technology, economic strategy, and geopolitics, positioning Dubai as a hub for intelligence-driven economies.

H.E. Abdulla Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism, opened the main-stage discussions under the theme “The Race Beyond Innovation: AI, Geopolitics, and the Global Economic Reset.” He said the UAE continues to strengthen its leadership through innovation and advanced technology, shaping a resilient, knowledge-driven economy.

Ekaterina Zaharieva, Commissioner for Startups, Research and Innovation at the European Commission, joined Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of the Technology Innovation Institute, to discuss deep-tech ecosystems and their influence on nations. Zaharieva stated that both the UAE and the EU share a vision to foster innovation and support startups, adding that this journey begins at GITEX 2025.

The “Intelligence Super-Cycle” panel featured Hon. Evan Solomon, Canada’s Minister for AI and Digital Innovation, and Amandeep Gill, UN Envoy for Digital Technologies. They examined how AI is shaping global economic infrastructure. Solomon said GITEX represents a vital platform for collaboration, helping nations transform AI into a trustworthy and inclusive technology.

Andrew Feldman, CEO of Cerebras, revealed that the company’s partnership with G42 resulted in the world’s largest AI training supercomputer, delivering the fastest inferencing speeds and improved energy efficiency.

Global enterprises unveiled their latest innovations across AI, cloud, and mobility sectors.

  • e& showcased over 90 innovations in robotics, mobility, and digital healthcare, including air taxis and record-setting electric vehicles.
  • Oracle presented agentic AI solutions for smart finance and supply-chain management.
  • BlackBerry launched a mission-critical communications platform, trusted by multiple governments and leading banks.
  • AWS demonstrated cloud solutions with integrated cybersecurity and operational capabilities.
  • HCL Software introduced AI-powered customisation tools, cybersecurity advancements, and its BigFix endpoint management platform.

Brazil joined as Country Partner with its largest-ever delegation, alongside national pavilions from Canada, Spain, Türkiye, Chile, and Ecuador, highlighting the event’s global reach.

The momentum continues as Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, will make his first GITEX GLOBAL appearance in a virtual conversation with Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42. They will discuss the rise of AI-Native societies and their structural foundations.

Senior leaders from OpenAI, Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Khazna Data Centres, and Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence will also participate in high-level policy briefings and discussions.

Organisers reported that GITEX GLOBAL 2025 reaffirms Dubai’s position as the world’s most influential platform for technology, innovation, and global collaboration.
