Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, will feature the Green Hydrogen Summit, a key event driving global efforts to accelerate the adoption of green hydrogen across industries. Supported by the UAE and its clean energy leader, Masdar, the summit reinforces Abu Dhabi’s ambition to become a global hub for green hydrogen through innovation and investments.

The 2025 Green Hydrogen Summit aligns with Abu Dhabi’s Low Carbon Hydrogen Policy and the UAE’s National Hydrogen Strategy 2050. Mohamed Jameel Al Ramahi, CEO of Masdar, highlighted the importance of green hydrogen in transforming energy systems, decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors, and achieving net-zero goals. He emphasized the UAE’s leadership in developing and deploying green hydrogen technologies, with ADSW serving as a platform to unite global leaders, industry experts, and investors to drive impactful action.

Designed to foster collaboration and actionable solutions, the summit will include plenary panels, fireside chats, and working sessions to unlock investment opportunities and harmonize global standards. Building on the success of previous editions, it aims to advance sustainable financial models and deepen global partnerships to scale up green hydrogen production and accelerate sustainable development.

Masdar is at the forefront of green hydrogen innovation, with a target of producing 1 million tonnes annually within a decade. The company is investing strategically in scalable projects and focusing on decarbonizing industries such as aviation, marine, and steel. Masdar is also working on projects to establish reliable supply chains for green ammonia, eMethanol, SAF, eMethane, and liquid hydrogen.

Supported by partners such as the Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE), ADNOC, Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA), EMSTEEL, Fertiglobe, and BEEAH, the 2025 Green Hydrogen Summit will play a pivotal role in advancing the global energy transition and establishing a thriving green hydrogen ecosystem.

This event will be a significant step in the UAE’s efforts to lead the global energy transformation and drive progress toward a sustainable future.
