The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences has officially launched the fourth season of its prestigious “Future Science Challenge.” Organised by the Hamdan Centre for Giftedness and Innovation, the competition now extends its reach across the entire Arab world, fostering creativity and technological innovation among youth.

This year’s theme, “Fostering Positive Change in Society,” encourages participants to tackle pressing social challenges in areas such as healthcare, education, and living standards using modern technologies. The initiative is open to talented students aged 10 to 17 from across the Arab region, providing them with a platform to enhance their scientific and technical skills while showcasing their innovative solutions.

Humaid Al Qatami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, highlighted the competition’s growing impact. “The previous seasons attracted widespread participation from GCC countries, with projects that demonstrated exceptional innovation, such as smart irrigation systems and health monitoring devices. This success inspired us to expand the competition’s reach to the entire Arab world,” he stated.

Aspiring participants can visit [hamdanfsc.com](https://hamdanfsc.com) for full details on the application process. Registered teams will gain access to the competition’s electronic platform, where they can submit project files and engage with training materials covering topics like artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.

The competition will unfold in two stages. In the first stage, teams will develop and submit projects for evaluation. The top ten projects from each age category will move on to the final stage, where they will participate in online interviews. Winners will be chosen based on innovation, technology application, and alignment with the competition’s theme.

Kicking off in September 2024, the competition will include introductory meetings, a training programme in October, and virtual evaluations in January and February 2025. The event will conclude with a virtual awards ceremony on 27th February 2025, where the winning teams will be celebrated for their contributions.

This initiative is set to inspire the next generation of Arab innovators, equipping them with the tools to create meaningful, positive change in their communities.
