IFS, the global cloud enterprise software firm, announced that international offshore drilling contractor Borr Drilling is updating its existing IT platforms to the most recent IFS versions, which include IFS Cloud, IFS Cloud Services, and IFS Success Services, said a media statement.

Borr Drilling, according to IFS, owns and operates 28 jack-up rigs of modern and high-specification designs that provide drilling services to the offshore energy exploration and production industry across the world.

IFS Cloud will provide support for mission-critical business activities such as enterprise asset management (EAM), onshore-offshore data replication, supply chain management, and international financials.

“IFS is a key strategic partner to Borr Drilling and we are very happy to continue our digitalization journey with IFS’ latest products and technology,” says Kjetil Gran, IT Director at Borr Drilling.

“IFS Cloud provides us with the comprehensive end-to-end functionality in a single platform that simplifies mission-critical business processes and provides the insights we need to make key decisions. I look forward to continuing our partnership with IFS,” Gran added.

Energy is a key focus industry for IFS. We are proud to be able to support rig, FPSO and complex vessel owners with critical oil & gas industry functionality through IFS Cloud,” says Christian Pedersen, Chief Product Officer at IFS.

The IFS solution complies with SOX requirements and enables its customers to manage maintenance, supply chain, and finance more quickly and efficiently by linking data across all of these processes. It also has built-in replication between the Head Office and the rigs. All rigs and worldwide support organisations may utilise IFS Cloud both onshore and offshore.
