Kingston Technology Europe Co LLP, an affiliate of Kingston Technology Company, Inc., has officially announced the upcoming release of its Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 CUDIMMs. These modules are designed to offer seamless compatibility with Intel’s new 800-series chipset, formerly known as Arrow Lake. The chipset will introduce Clock Drivers on CUDIMMs, which is a significant step forward in the performance of memory modules. This new development will help optimize signal integrity, boosting the overall computing experience for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Intel’s 800-series chipset will feature Clock Drivers (CKD), a new component introduced in DDR5 technology. This will apply to both UDIMMs and SODIMMs, and is set to improve the clock signal for faster and more reliable data transfer. JEDEC has officially named these advanced memory modules as CUDIMMs and CSODIMMs, setting them apart from the standard DDR5 UDIMMs and SODIMMs. The primary function of the CKD is to buffer and amplify the clock signal coming from the processor, ensuring better signal integrity and reducing data transfer errors.
The Kingston FURY Renegade series will offer CUDIMM modules with an impressive overclocked speed of 8400MT/s, which is perfect for gamers, professionals, and tech enthusiasts. The modules will be available in two options: 24GB single modules and 48GB dual-channel kits, giving users flexibility in selecting the right configuration for their systems. Importantly, CUDIMMs and UDIMMs share a common 288-pin connector, making it easier to use Kingston FURY UDIMMs with XMP and EXPO profiles on Intel 800-series motherboards. For those looking to confirm compatibility, users can rely on the Qualified Vendor List (QVL) or the Kingston Configurator to ensure the right speeds and capacities are supported.
Iwona Zalewska, the DRAM Business Manager at Kingston EMEA, praised the extensive testing that went into the new 8400MT/s CUDIMM modules. These modules have been rigorously tested and certified by leading motherboard manufacturers and are compatible with Intel XMP on the latest Intel Z890 motherboards. Kingston’s partnership with Intel ensures that these overclockable DDR5 CUDIMM modules deliver exceptional performance. By launching these modules, Kingston aims to meet the growing demands of professionals seeking the best memory solutions, combining speed, stability, and signal integrity for the most demanding applications.
