Microsoft is placing AI skilling and talent development at the heart of its agenda during Dubai AI Week 2025. The company aims to support the UAE’s vision of building a digitally fluent society.

To advance the AI National Skills Initiative, Microsoft will deliver virtual learning sessions in private schools across Dubai. These sessions are designed for teachers and students aged 14 to 18. They will be available in both English and Arabic.

Students will learn how AI powers tools they already use, like Bing Chat, Minecraft, and Copilot. They will also explore free learning platforms such as Microsoft Learn, LinkedIn Learning, and AI for Beginners. Meanwhile, teachers will be introduced to AI tools like Reading Coach, Reflect, and Bing Chat. These tools are designed to enhance teaching and learning. The sessions will also cover the safe and responsible use of AI in classrooms.

School participation across the city reflects growing national momentum. AI literacy is becoming a core part of the education journey.

Microsoft continues to support AI development across industries. Bill Borden, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft, will speak at the GenAI Summit hosted by Emirates NBD. He will join leaders from McKinsey and Gartner to discuss the impact of generative AI on financial services.

Microsoft leaders will also take part in the AI Retreat. This closed-door event is hosted by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. It brings together policymakers and business leaders to shape AI strategies for the future.

Throughout the week, Microsoft will engage in several key activities. These include judging the Global Prompt Engineering Championship and hosting daily AI skilling sessions at the AI Assembly with Dubai Future Foundation. Microsoft will also hold executive roundtables on agentic AI in the retail and public sectors.

At the Dubai AI Festival, the company will showcase the latest Copilot innovations. Experts will join panels and roundtable discussions throughout the event.

Microsoft’s presence at Dubai AI Week 2025 reflects its role as a long-term technology partner. Through its skilling initiatives and innovation efforts, Microsoft is helping the region unlock the full potential of AI.
