NETSCOUT SYSTEMS, INC. (NASDAQ: NTCT), a performance management, cybersecurity, and DDoS protection company, has unveiled its latest suite of Business Edge Observability products. This includes the new nGenius Edge Sensor and Remote InfiniStreamNG solutions, designed to enhance IT observability at remote digital edge locations. These innovations are crucial for effective performance management across networks, applications, and user experiences, especially as mission-critical applications proliferate in remote settings like retail stores, manufacturing plants, banks, utility companies, hospitals, and government offices.

Recent research from the Uptime Institute highlights the high costs associated with outages. According to the study, 16% of organizations reported that their most recent outage exceeded $1 million, while 54% experienced costs over $100,000. This underscores the pressing need for automated IT operations to ensure local availability of mission-critical applications and data.

Mark Leary, Research Director for Network Analytics and Automation at IDC, commented, “With the rise of edge computing, IoT solutions, and hybrid work environments, in-depth visibility into remote resources and application experiences is more critical than ever. Key functionalities such as scalable deep packet inspection and synthetic transaction testing offer comprehensive insights and control mechanisms for digital infrastructure, enhancing operational efficiency, productivity, customer satisfaction, security, and financial performance.”

The growing complexity of SASE, SD-WAN, SaaS, and UCaaS services further complicates the assurance of high-quality digital experiences at remote locations. Traditional methods, including point tools and ad hoc troubleshooting, are often ineffective and time-consuming. IT teams with limited resources at remote sites require advanced solutions combining synthetic transaction capabilities and deep packet inspection (DPI) to bridge visibility gaps and quickly identify the root cause of issues.

NETSCOUT’s Business Edge Observability solutions integrate the company’s patented Adaptive Services Intelligence® (ASI) technology with synthetic testing and automatic decryption. This combination delivers comprehensive visibility that scales to meet the demands of any critical business edge. For remote sites, nGenius Edge Sensors and Remote InfiniStreamNGs act as the eyes and ears of IT teams, expediting troubleshooting and resolution processes.

Bruce Kelley, Chief Technology Officer at NETSCOUT, emphasized, “In settings like hospitals, where electronic patient records and imaging applications are vital, any service disruption can impact not just operational costs but patient care and safety. Addressing performance or security issues swiftly is crucial for maintaining the trust and efficiency of healthcare institutions.”
