‘The PNY lineup for gamers is targeting all key components in a PC which enhances performance (GPU, SSD, DRAM modules). GPU availability is very limited in recent times and we have challenges to fulfill the market demand,’ says Talus Arukalil, Regional Manager at PNY Technologies MEAI

What kind of demand growth did you notice in the memory market within the past year or so and how does that shape PNY in the region?

In 1985, PNY opened the global business with DRAM module as their first product. Since we have followed the technology by focusing on removable and internal memory portfolio. Today we carry all formats of memory (USB drives / graphics cards / DRAM full range / SSD full range). Many PC applications are switching from HDD to SSD, and PlayStation also announced the upgrade to NVMe SSD with sped of 5500 Mbs and above. The PNY SSD range includes basic 2.5” till CS3140 NVME with high performance up to 7500 Mbs, which is one of the fastest in the industry. The PC gaming category is a strong aspect for PNY through NVIDIA GPU association.

The Middle East is home to more than 100 million gamers, how does PNY contribute to this evergrowing industry and the gaming community?

Our range of components is our strength and uniqueness. The PNY lineup for gamers is targeting all key components in a PC which enhances performance (GPU, SSD, DRAM modules). GPU availability is very limited in recent times and we have challenges to fulfill the market demand. With PNY being NVIDIA partner for Consumer and Professional graphics cards, we are able to provide more GPUs to the market compared to competitors focusing on GeForce only.

Could you share more details about your partnership with NVIDIA and your recent deployments in the region?

The PNY and NVIDIA partnership has been strong for a long time and gives us large opportunity to grow in the market as NVIDIA advance to many new GPU & Networking solutions. Our partnership with NVIDIA is open for a wide array of products in consumer and enterprise solutions. PNY provides a dynamic range of consumer GPUs and the most comprehensive computing, storage and networking portfolio for Datacenters. Its vast expertise and experience enables support for the challenges of the Datacenter, coming from a variety of industries such as Healthcare, Retail, Higher Education and more.

What is PNY’s future roadmap in terms of both the consumer & enterprise segments? Any new launches on the go?

Our direction is to continue focusing on the PC components market aimed at consumers, whilst harnessing all the key components to be a true supplier in the ecosystem supplier. In the enterprise, opportunities regarding each category are wide open. New game-changing collaborative solutions such as NVIDIA Omniverse combined with NVIDIA RTX technology will revolutionize the 3D production workflow. In the datacenters, three converging forces have sparked the AI era: the availability of huge databases, the invention of Deep Learning algorithms, and the unprecedented performance of GPU computing. By popularizing GPU processing, NVIDIA has provided a new path for the entire industry and will deliver up to 1000 times faster computing performance by 2025.

PNY offers the NVIDIA DGX A100 AI Infrastructure based on the NVIDIA A100 GPU architecture, one universal building block for the AI datacenter for enterprise at scale, allowing to build DGX PODs and Super Pods, a complete, cloud native AI datacenter with limitless capacity. In this environment, PNY proposes different storage solutions dedicated to datacenter & AI, coming from strong partners such as NetApp or DDN, or the PNY in-house storage server PNY 3S. Finally, PNY recently signed a direct distribution agreement with NVIDIA Mellanox Networking solutions and offers a complete Infiniband and Ethernet networking portfolio to orchestrate the compute and storage of the datacenter: SmartNICS, switches, cables, and more.
