Commvault, a global enterprise software provider specialising in data management across cloud and on-premises systems, is rolling out its Metallic® Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) solutions in Qatar, said a company statement.

Metallic’s enterprise portfolio includes cloud-based solutions for protecting a wide range of workloads, including SaaS apps like Office 365, virtual machines and containers, enterprise databases, endpoints, and more, as per the statement.

Customers are now better equipped to address rising business concerns about cost, scalability, and security as they manage data across increasingly complex hybrid cloud environments, drive compliance, and guard against emerging cyberthreats, thanks to this enhanced availability.

Nader Kassir, Country Manager, Qatar at Commvault said, “We are excited to introduce businesses in Qatar to our award-winning Metallic® Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) solutions. Our full suite of Metallic solutions is designed to help companies accelerate their move to the cloud. With recent increases in work from home practices, Metallic provides unmatched flexibility with a breadth of enterprise workload support and rapid pace of innovation, which ensures that customer data is protected. Following an incredible reception of Metallic in the region earlier this year, we look forward to providing our customers in Qatar with enterprise-grade, industry-leading data protection solutions.”

Metallic offerings include the ability to monitor compliance standards as well as the quantity and categories of data saved, enabling customers to meet severe GDPR compliance regulations.

Metallic is able to incorporate Microsoft Azure’s safe and compliant platform features and technologies that aid in GDPR compliance at the core level due to a close engineering relationship with Microsoft.

“I am proud to expand our collaboration with Commvault in Qatar, and I look forward to the introduction of Metallic in the market. The solution, which combines Commvault’s data management and Microsoft Azure’s infrastructure and platform services, will equip customers with the right tools to protect their most critical asset – their data,” said Lana Khalaf, Microsoft Country General Manager, Qatar.
