Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in collaboration with e&, has announced the completion of free Wi-Fi installation across its entire fleet of intercity buses.

The rollout includes all 259 buses operating between Dubai and other emirates, including Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, and Fujairah.

The RTA revealed that passengers can now enjoy complimentary internet access throughout their journeys. The service works seamlessly across smartphones, tablets, and laptops.

This initiative is designed to improve the daily commuting experience by allowing passengers to stay connected, manage tasks, and access online services while in transit.

The authority confirmed that:

  • The service will undergo continuous evaluation.
  • Enhancements and expansion to marine transport services are also planned.

RTA reported that this move is part of its wider digital transformation strategy. It aims to meet the needs of all community segments while aligning with the UAE Digital Government Strategy.

The initiative further supports Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s smartest and happiest city.
