Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Appoints New Leadership for Abu Dhabi’s AI Council
In a significant move aimed at enhancing Abu Dhabi’s leadership in artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced technologies, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued a resolution to reconstitute the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC). The council will be chaired by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan appointed as Vice-Chairman.
The resolution also sees the appointment of key figures to the council, including Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Dr. Ahmed Mubarak bin Nawi Al Mazrouei, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Faisal Abdulaziz Al Bannai, and Peng Xiao.
Since its establishment in January 2024, AIATC has been instrumental in regulating, implementing, and developing policies and strategies focused on AI and advanced technologies in Abu Dhabi. The council’s efforts are central to Abu Dhabi’s vision of becoming a global leader in AI and advanced technology, driving innovation, research, investments, and fostering collaborations with both local and international partners.
