The UAE national domain name, .ae, has reached an impressive 347,000 registrations, showcasing increasing demand and trust from businesses, individuals, and companies. This surge highlights the domain’s vital role in strengthening the country’s digital infrastructure and boosting its digital economy.

Managed by the UAE’s Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), the .ae domain continues to evolve with enhanced services and technologies aimed at ensuring security and operational effectiveness. TDRA’s ongoing efforts support the country’s digital identity and provide businesses with greater visibility to local and international audiences.

One of the recent advancements in the .ae domain offerings is the launch of the “Name Ideas” service. This innovative tool, powered by generative artificial intelligence, suggests domain names based on a user’s business activity description. The service, the first of its kind in the region, has attracted more than 10,000 visits since its debut in 2023, offering an enhanced user experience for those looking to establish their digital presence.

The .ae domain has also seen a significant increase in the number of accredited registrars, with the total rising to 26. This expansion has attracted major companies, further solidifying the domain’s position as a symbol of trust and credibility in the digital marketplace.

Mohammed Ibrahim Al Zarooni, Deputy Director General of the Information and Digital Government Sector, commented on these advancements, stating, “Thanks to continuous improvements by TDRA, the .ae domain remains the ideal choice for businesses and individuals looking to grow their digital presence in a competitive market.”

He added, “The .ae domain represents more than just an internet address; it reflects the UAE’s commitment to enhancing its digital economy and creating new opportunities for businesses and individuals.”

With its growing influence, the .ae domain continues to be a key element in shaping the UAE’s digital future.
