The UAE Ministry of Finance (MoF) has introduced the “Digital Consultation” initiative to bolster the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme. This initiative supports the UAE government’s goal of improving living standards, fostering a business-friendly environment, and attracting talent.

The MoF is encouraging citizens to share feedback and ideas via the UAE Government portal, aiming to enhance the efficiency, quality, and flexibility of its services while simplifying procedures. By increasing customer involvement in decision-making, the initiative seeks to incorporate innovative ideas that streamline government processes. A key element of this initiative is the “Zero Bureaucracy” questionnaire, which invites feedback from all customer groups to aid in the design and development of the Ministry’s services.

Younis Haji Al Khoori, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, emphasized the significance of the new initiative in supporting the Ministry’s efforts to understand customer needs and gather feedback on transaction experiences. Al Khoori highlighted the Ministry’s aim to build a genuine partnership with customers, aligning with the UAE’s vision of becoming a global leader in digital government services. The initiative translates national indicators into action, supporting the ‘We UAE 2031’ vision and contributing significantly to the ‘UAE Centennial 2071’ goals.

Al Khoori assured that all proposals received through this initiative will be carefully evaluated, with the best ideas selected to develop a comprehensive action plan aimed at eliminating bureaucracy. He noted that this initiative complements the customer councils initiative launched by the Ministry in April, which seeks to deepen understanding of customers’ experiences with the Ministry’s services. Al Khoori underscored the importance of customer involvement in generating positive outcomes that benefit the community, leading to a sustainable future marked by flexible and efficient services.

The “Zero Bureaucracy” questionnaire focuses on evaluating customer experiences with current procedures, identifying services perceived as complex and in need of improvement, and gathering ideas that could significantly enhance the Ministry’s efforts to reduce bureaucracy. This approach ensures the Ministry remains responsive to customer needs and expectations while contributing to the UAE government’s broader goals.
