WhatsApp has launched an exciting new feature: Voice Message Transcripts, designed to make staying connected more convenient. While voice messages offer a personal touch by letting you hear your loved ones’ voices, there are moments when listening isn’t practical—whether you’re on the move, in a noisy environment, or handling long messages.

This innovative feature allows voice messages to be converted into text, helping users stay updated without the need to listen. Best of all, transcripts are processed directly on your device, ensuring privacy as no one, not even WhatsApp, can access or read your messages.

How to Use Voice Message Transcripts:

  1. Enable the feature by navigating to Settings > Chats > Voice Message Transcripts and turning transcriptions on or off.
  1. Select your preferred transcript language.
  1. To transcribe a voice message, simply long-press the message and tap on ‘transcribe.’

The feature is rolling out globally over the next few weeks with support for select languages, with plans to expand the language options in the coming months.

Stay tuned as WhatsApp continues to enhance this feature, making communication even more seamless and user-friendly!
