Lexy AI has been announced as the winning project in the National Multiple Sclerosis Society<\/a> (NMSS) first Universal Design for Inclusion Program. The initiative focused on using innovation to make life more accessible for people living with multiple sclerosis and chronic conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program was delivered in partnership with six UAE universities across 11 campuses and supported by over 45 faculty and industry mentors. More than 80 students submitted over 30 projects that tackled challenges in cognitive, communication, and mobility accessibility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Cognitive category, NMSS revealed Lexy AI as the winning project. Developed by students at Higher Colleges of Technology Sharjah, Lexy AI simplifies complex text and tracks clarity in real time. The AI<\/a>-powered tool supports Arabic and helps individuals with conditions affecting memory and concentration.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In the Communication category, the winning project was Ni\u2019mah, a discreet smart bracelet developed by University of Sharjah students. The bracelet translates emergency sounds into light and vibration alerts, helping individuals with hearing impairments respond quickly.<\/p>\n<\/div>

In the Mobility category, VersaGrip was selected as the winner. Created by students at Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), the AI-powered grip device blends Emirati jewelry design with assistive functionality, reducing stigma around mobility aids.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

    The program was delivered in collaboration with Abu Dhabi University, Al Ain University, DIDI, Higher Colleges of Technology, Khalifa University, and the University of Sharjah.
