DXC Technology<\/a> (NYSE: DXC), a Fortune 500 global technology services provider, has announced a partnership with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) to expand the DXC Dandelion Program into Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program, previously successful in Australia, the U.K., Italy, Poland, Bulgaria, and the Philippines, aims to promote awareness, acceptance, and career pathways for neurodiverse individuals in IT across Egypt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The announcement was witnessed by H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Egypt\u2019s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and H.E. Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Talaat commented, \u201cThis partnership reflects our commitment to digital transformation and building an inclusive workforce. By providing neurodivergent people with training and opportunities, we enable them to participate in shaping Egypt\u2019s digital future<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DXC and ITIDA plan to train, develop, and provide work experience for up to 60 neurodiverse individuals aged 18\u201330 over an initial three-year period. The program combines life skills development with technical training, including software testing, infrastructure monitoring, AI, and data analytics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eng. Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, said, \u201cThis collaboration strengthens Egypt\u2019s IT sector, develops digital skills, and creates social impact. It opens equitable opportunities and builds a skilled workforce to support Egypt\u2019s position as a technology hub.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DXC Dandelion Program, established in 2014 in Australia, focuses on creating IT careers for neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism and ADHD. The program has created over 350 global employment opportunities and received more than 25 international awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neveen Galal, Managing Director for Egypt at DXC Technology, added, \u201cNeurodivergent individuals have exceptional skills in concentration, attention to detail, and pattern recognition. By providing the right training and environment, we help them harness these strengths while addressing IT skills gaps.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Egypt\u2019s ICT sector has grown 14\u201316% annually over the past seven years, contributing nearly 6% to the national GDP. Digital exports are expected to reach USD 7.4 billion by year-end. As part of the Digital Egypt Strategy, the country focuses on digital upskilling, comprehensive services, and economic opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DXC\u2019s regional delivery centre in Egypt serves over 20 customers across the Middle East, U.K., and Europe. The centre employs over 600 IT professionals and aims to grow to 1,000 by 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
