This approach promotes fairness and transparency. By standardizing pricing for government customers, WSO2 seeks to reduce corruption and remove financial barriers to adoption.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Sanjiva Weerawarana, Founder and CEO of WSO2, said, \u201cFair pricing must reflect the economic context in which governments operate. We are taking steps toward equitable digital modernization globally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program uses an index-based pricing method. Fees are aligned with World Bank Country Income Classifications. W3C government membership fees serve as the baseline. Countries can receive standardized discounts. High-income countries get 20%, upper-middle-income countries 35%, lower-middle-income countries 50%, and low-income countries 62%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Discounts apply only to official government entities funded by taxpayers. Public-private partnerships are excluded to maintain transparency. WSO2 will continue to offer professional services at standard commercial rates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prices under this initiative are predictable. Annual increases are capped at 5%, allowing governments to plan digital investments confidently. This ensures affordability and sustainability for long-term digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>WSO2\u2019s Fair Pricing for Governments initiative is now live globally.
