The release enables organisations across the Middle East to build, deploy, and scale modern digital services more efficiently. It also supports AI-powered applications and autonomous agents while maintaining security and avoiding vendor lock-in.

OpenChoreo is an open source platform originally developed by WSO2. It is designed to help organisations create and run a wide range of solutions, including customer-facing applications, digital services, AI-driven workflows, and agentic systems. Over time, the platform was developed in the open and contributed to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, where it has been accepted as a Sandbox Project. This step reinforces its vendor-neutral and community-driven approach, while aligning it with open standards used across the cloud-native ecosystem.

With the GA release, WSO2 adds enterprise-grade capabilities on top of the open source foundation. These include service-level agreements, architectural guidance, and operational support. As a result, organisations can deploy OpenChoreo in production environments with greater confidence. In addition, the platform helps accelerate application delivery, streamline integration between legacy and modern systems, and introduce AI into operations through automation, AI-assisted development, and autonomous agents that can monitor systems and support real-time decision-making.

Furthermore, OpenChoreo’s acceptance into the Cloud Native Computing Foundation Sandbox strengthens its long-term value. Open governance ensures no single vendor controls the roadmap. This approach encourages continuous innovation from the global community and supports alignment with widely adopted cloud-native practices.

The platform’s enterprise offering complements the open source core without altering it. Instead, it enhances usability at scale by providing 24/7 global support, proactive security updates, onboarding assistance, and direct access to maintainers and experienced engineers. These capabilities are designed to help organisations operationalise the platform more effectively in complex environments.

“Organisations today are building intelligent, adaptive digital systems,” said Lakmal Warusawithana, Product Manager for Choreo at WSO2. He noted that OpenChoreo enables the development of both digital services and AI-driven agents. He also highlighted that the combination of open source innovation and enterprise support allows businesses to innovate faster and compete more effectively in an AI-driven economy.

[147,9621
1051
9732
post-105030","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-artificial-intelligence","category-emerging-technologies","tag-vendors","contributor-news-desk
["GET
