These changes reflect continued investment in experienced leadership to support partners and customers across the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In sales leadership, Jawad Moghnieh has been promoted to Regional Director, Saudi Arabia &amp; Bahrain, while continuing his role as General Manager of Veeam\u2019s Saudi entity. He brings more than 17 years of sales leadership experience across the MENA technology sector. He has a strong track record in driving market expansion, building high-performing teams, and developing partner ecosystems. Since joining the company, he has strengthened Veeam\u2019s presence in Saudi Arabia and the wider region, supporting customers on their data resilience journeys and accelerating regional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Similarly, Dan Popa has been promoted to Regional Director, Eastern Europe. In this role, he will focus on accelerating growth, strengthening partner ecosystems, and supporting customers as they modernise data resilience strategies. He has spent more than nine years at Veeam Software in senior regional leadership roles across Eastern and South-Eastern Europe. He is recognised for developing partner networks, supporting public and private sector customers, and contributing to regional business expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In pre-sales leadership, Islam Afifi has been promoted to Senior Regional Director, Sales Engineering, EMEA East. He brings more than 20 years of experience in technical sales and presales leadership. He has led diverse technical teams across the Middle East and CIS. At Veeam Software, he has played a key role in supporting customers and partners with expertise across data protection, cloud infrastructure, and cyber resilience. His work ensures alignment between customer needs and the company\u2019s innovation roadmap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, Ahmad AlSabbah has been promoted to Regional Manager, Sales Engineering, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. This appointment strengthens Veeam\u2019s local technical leadership and customer-facing capabilities in these key markets. He has built extensive experience within the technical organisation, progressing through multiple systems engineering roles. His background includes supporting enterprise customers and partners with solution design, technical enablement, and consulting, contributing to long-term customer success across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, Mark Govender has been promoted to Regional Manager, Sales Engineering, Africa. He has spent nearly six years at Veeam Software, progressing through senior systems engineering roles across the African region.
