Nutanix aims to address rising cloud complexity and ongoing hardware supply constraints.

As organizations modernize infrastructure, many are reassessing traditional virtualization platforms. They want better flexibility, performance, and cost predictability. These needs span virtual machines, containers, and AI workloads.

NCP enables customers to maximize existing infrastructure. It also provides access to a broader ecosystem of hardware vendors, hyperscalers, neoclouds, and service providers. As a result, organizations can run modern and AI applications anywhere. This helps keep critical IT projects on track while preserving flexibility.

Thomas Cornely, Executive Vice President of Product Management at Nutanix, said organizations must balance hybrid multicloud flexibility with data sovereignty. He added that NCP allows customers to expand across cloud providers while maintaining control over workloads.

Meanwhile, Nutanix is extending NCP with full-stack capabilities. These include new services for AI infrastructure, unified storage, and advanced data services.

The Nutanix Agentic AI solution, introduced at NVIDIA GTC 2026, is currently in early access. It is designed to help enterprises build and operate AI applications on NCP. The full release is expected in the second half of 2026. It will offer secure, high-performance virtualization and integrate compute, storage, networking, and Kubernetes services.

In addition, NKP Metal has been announced in early access. It extends the Nutanix Kubernetes Platform to support deployments on bare-metal infrastructure. This enables higher performance for edge environments and AI training workloads using dense GPU systems.

Nutanix Unified Storage 5.3 is now generally available. It enhances object storage for AI factories. The update introduces Smart Tiering for seamless data movement to Google Cloud and OVHCloud S3. It also adds multitenant scaling and quotas for large AI data lakes. Later in 2026, RDMA acceleration for S3-compatible storage will improve throughput for AI datasets.

Furthermore, Nutanix Data Lens 2.0 is now available. It supports on-premises and air-gapped environments. The release adds ransomware analytics, data governance, and visibility across distributed storage systems.

Nutanix also announced a certified integration with MongoDB. This connects Nutanix Database Service with MongoDB Ops Manager. The integration simplifies database operations through automated provisioning and lifecycle management.

At the same time, Nutanix is strengthening its global ecosystem. Nutanix Service Provider Central is currently in early access. It introduces multitenancy capabilities for partners to deliver AI and infrastructure services securely. General availability is expected in the second half of 2026.

Nutanix continues to expand hardware and infrastructure support. Foundation Central now simplifies deployment of Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure and AHV across enterprise servers from major vendors. New integrations include support for Dell PowerFlex disaster recovery and enhanced Everpure FlashArray compatibility.

Looking ahead, Nutanix plans further collaborations. These include expanded AMD CPU and GPU server support, deeper integration with Cisco solutions, and new capabilities with Dell, Lenovo, and NetApp platforms.

Additionally, NCP introduces zero-copy migrations from VMware vSphere to AHV. This enables near-instant workload conversion without data duplication. It reduces downtime and operational overhead.

Nutanix is also expanding sovereign cloud capabilities. Nutanix Cloud Clusters now support AWS GovCloud. Support for AWS European Sovereign Cloud is coming later this year. Future updates will also include Hyperdisk and bare-metal instances on Google Cloud.

Organizations can run workloads in the cloud without refactoring. At the same time, they can move workloads back on-premises when needed. This flexibility helps address regulatory, latency, and supply chain challenges.

Nutanix Cloud Manager 2.0 is now generally available. It introduces a new architecture for managing large distributed environments. The platform enables centralized control across multiple clusters and Prism Central instances.

The update includes multisite and multidomain management. It also adds secure onboarding workflows and centralized tools for inventory, alerts, reporting, and capacity planning. In addition, Cost Governance is now integrated on-premises. This eliminates the need for separate SaaS tools while providing AIOps and self-service capabilities.

Mohammad Abulhouf, Vice President and General Manager for Middle East and Africa at Nutanix, said the company is focused on helping organizations address AI demands and supply challenges. He emphasized the importance of flexibility, scalability, and sovereignty in modern cloud environments.

Overall, these updates mark one of the broadest infrastructure expansions in the company’s history. They provide organizations with greater deployment choice, improved performance, and stronger control across hybrid environments, reinforcing Nutanix as a key player in enterprise cloud innovation.

[147,9621
1051
9732
post-105071","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-artificial-intelligence","category-emerging-technologies","tag-vendors","contributor-news-desk
["GET
