Instead, it is essential to safeguard privacy, prevent fraud and ensure the continuity of digital services without disruption or financial losses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, it revealed that cyberattacks targeting digital identities increased by 32 percent in the first half of this year. This rise is linked to the growing reliance on digital services and smart applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In response, the council emphasised the adoption of advanced solutions such as multi-factor authentication. It noted that this method can prevent more than 99 percent of identity-related attacks, making it one of the most effective protection tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, it warned that digital identity breaches can lead to identity theft, fraud, financial losses and damage to personal and professional reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Therefore, the council outlined key preventive measures. These include avoiding the sharing of sensitive information, not reusing weak passwords, creating strong passwords and enabling multi-factor authentication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, it stressed that while these steps are simple, they form the first line of defence against growing cyber threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the council noted that the challenge is not purely technical. It also involves awareness and user behaviour, as advanced technologies alone are not sufficient without informed users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally, it said that as digital transformation accelerates, balancing usability and security remains a key challenge.
