Veeam Software<\/a>, the Data and AI Trust Company, has been ranked number one for worldwide data protection software market share by IDC in its latest IDC Semiannual Software Tracker, 2025H2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the report, Veeam<\/a> captured 13.6 percent market share in 2025 H2. This marks an increase from 13.2 percent in 2025H1. In addition, IDC reported that Veeam delivered 11.5 percent sequential growth in 2025H2, exceeding the market average of 8.8 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, Anand Eswaran, CEO at Veeam, said market share reflects how effectively the company meets customer and partner expectations. He highlighted the company\u2019s focus on precision recovery. This includes scenarios such as ransomware incidents, model drift, rogue agents, and regional outages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, he noted that the technology landscape is shifting. With AI, traditional perimeters are diminishing. Instead, policy and identity are increasingly tied to data itself. He added that AI systems can move faster than the data supporting them, which may not always be secure or trustworthy. Therefore, organizations need a unified platform that combines data security, governance, and resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, Veeam is advancing its unified data platform for the agentic enterprise. The platform is powered by the Data Command Graph. This engine continuously maps relationships across structured and unstructured data, identities, access, policies, and AI systems, across both production and backup environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moreover, the Data Command Graph delivers broad coverage across domains and deep visibility at file and data-element levels. It is designed to scale across millions of files and billions of data points while maintaining strong classification accuracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The platform also introduces precision resilience. For instance, when an AI agent makes an unintended change, the system identifies what changed, where it changed, and which data was affected. As a result, organizations can reverse specific actions without recovering entire systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
